Italy, as the second-largest kiwifruit exporter in the world, has increased its supply with rising demand from the main importers. Germany has been the country's biggest importer with a total value of 111.73M USD in 2020. At the same time, importers such as the US and Spain have reduced imports from Italy. The value of Chile's exports abroad is now growing rapidly along with the demand from major buyers increasing. The 2020 trade data shows that the UK values bounced back due to additional supplies from other major exporters including Chile, Greece, Germany, and the Netherlands.

World import of kiwifruit from Italy has been increasing to 240M USD which previously only worth 220M USD in 2019. Kiwifruit trade rose with strong demand from major buyers including Germany (+8.89%), the UK(+13.39%), Switzerland (+50.21%), Greece (+3.31%), Denmark (+4.81%), and Ireland (+9.62%)
